The rhythm of our business activity is increasing every year. And we as senior managers are searching for the new sources to increase business efficiency. While working on the company’s 5-year strategy, we realized that there was huge potential in the corporate culture, in those principles that we were embracing and encouraging our employers to share. Every year we were trying to motivate our management team for personal achievements, for winning at all costs, we were supporting internal competition – and that, I must admit, was bearing fruit. But this model cannot be scaled endlessly: at a certain point a manager realizes that overall individual results are less valuable than results achieved in partnership. 

This is why forming “the culture of partnership” and integrating it in our management team became one of our priorities. It turned out to be an interesting experience. Teaching team members to trust one another once again, to help rather than compete, to search for win-win solutions, to see synergy, to speak and to reach agreements.

We chose Process Communication Model as a platform for creating the culture of partnership. The whole team completed the training. We came up with our own slang, started forming teams in a different way, started considering individual communication characteristics of all members. We learned to understand motivation mechanisms of each other and to respect the fact that they differ. Our delegation process became effective and managers learned to negotiate to one another, while our top management became able to focus on strategy.
